When you register on our site and/or purchase goods or services from us, we may ask you to provide your name, organization, e-mail address, and other information. We use that information to provide you with a more personalized online experience, to process orders, and to keep track of topics that are of interest to our readers and customers. This information will not be shared with any nonaffiliated parties.
If you register to receive newsletters and alerts from us, you may be asked to provide your e-mail address. Other information may also be necessary, depending on the type of information requested. This information is used solely to enable us to provide the requested information to you.
We are required under data protection law to protect your personal information from misuse and ensure that we are only holding the information that you give us consent to hold. Our desire is to serve you better and ensure that the information we have is accurate, and that no unnecessary information is being stored. This document will explain the procedures we have in place to protect your privacy and inform you of options you have as to how we use your information.
Why do we need to collect personal information?
You have the right to know what of your personal information we retain. This information is kept in electronic form on our database, and is accessible by our staff and occasionally by software developers who help maintain our systems. Our customer database is accessed through a third-party software program and uses multi factor authentication for access.
Your information is available to you by registering for an account on our website, or by contacting us and requesting it. We ask you for this information to register you for courses we offer, to verify your qualifications in order to attend or staff our courses, to contact you about trainings or products being offered, to record product purchase information, and to record historical information of courses you have completed. We also request your information to publish business contact information on our international therapist directory, www.iahp.com, so that the public may find your listing and contact you directly for a therapy appointment. Your contact information may also be provided to sponsors or faculty of our courses for purposes of course management. We may be asked by our faculty or our international affiliate offices to verify the courses you have completed. Our international affiliate offices also comply with GPDR standards.
We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use our website–you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
